Yvette A. Kidman, MA, Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Yvette brings her own story of healing along with her education to provide an understanding ear and insight into each session.  She graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy while starting in private practice at Wellspring Family Therapy Center in Fall 2014.  Additionally, she is seeking certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy.  She spent 15 years in corporate America and the next 15 years raising three daughters, one with Down syndrome.  Learning how to overcome shame and abuse has been her life’s journey.  Offering empathy, she strives to treat the whole person realizing a person is multi-faceted, created with a body, mind, emotions and spirit (for those interested).  Therefore, she integrates Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy when providing treatment to both individuals and couples regardless of symptoms or diagnosis.  Her greatest desire is to help a person realize their inherent value as a human being apart from their abilities or inabilities.  She treats anxiety, depression, low self-esteem (shame resilience), all relationship issues, distressed couples (including recovery from infidelity), divorce recovery, post-abortion recovery, stressors from parenting a child with special needs, overwhelm from job transitions or demands, career development, and eating disorders.
